THRIVING COMMUNITY SPACES
Yate Outdoor Sports Complex is a charity-run facility located in South Gloucestershire. With a thriving hockey community at YOSC, Verde’s services were enlisted to carry out the complete refurbishment of the existing full-size artificial turf hockey pitch built to FIH National Standard. The project included the removal and disposal of the existing artificial grass and shock pad, installation of a 15mm in situ shock pad, installation of 18mm sand dressed artificial grass, cleaning and colour coating of the spectator area, installation of a 1.2m high spectator fence and installation of a new shelter recess and detox area. We worked in partnership with Yate Town Council, Yate Outdoor Sports Complex and subcontractors to ensure all aspects of the project ran fluently, safely, within the contract period and to budget. We took a proactive approach, before and during construction, in respect of risk identification and risk management, ensuring all risk assessments and method statements were completed in detail. All health and safety measures were implemented and the team worked closely with all Subcontractors to ensure all safety standards were achieved.
